Rebecca is my favorite book, and might be of interest to this woman because it's setting is a faulous mansion in England called The Manderly. The mansion is the most famous part of the book. It's a mystery revolving around the character, Rebecca, who is actually dead from the very beginning and never appears again. The main character (a woman never named) marries Rebecca's widower and moves into the mysterious, incredible Manderley. The mansion seems to echo Rebecca's legacy and the new wife feels she can never be as good at running the Manderly as Rebecca was. About mid-way through the book, a shocking secret is revealed and you absolutely can't put it down! The book is considered a classic by many. Do not be decieved by the cover as it is no romance book! Also, there is some talk about Rebecca's death, but no gore. If it were rated, it would be PG.

One of the very best books I can think of that I think EVERY women should read is called " Eat, Pray, Love"

It is by Elizabeth Gilbert.

It is not about a realator, but I think it is WONDERFUL. I am giving a lot of the ladies in my family this book for Christmas.

The short version of what it is about is a womens journey to find her self.

You can go to this website to read the long version of what it is.

Try any of the books by Carl Hiaasen, Dave Barry, Frank McCourt ( 'Tis and Angela's Ashes are great). Carl Hiassen and Dave Barry are comedic writers, Hiassen's works are all based in Florida, Dave Barry writes a column for the Miami Herald and is just laugh-out loud silly. At 50-something we all need a laugh, honey !!!

Well these books has got to be my favortie books, and i think everyone should read them.
The five people you meet in heaven. by mitch albom

Its kinda confusing, but good read. About an old man that works at a fair/boradwalk and he gets into an accident there. There are some flashbacks and then he sees 5 people. If i say much more it will give it away. But then he meets people who were in his past and who were important.

For one more day. By Mitch albom
Another great read. This is about an old man...well around 50 i think. He used tp be a major leauge baseball player. And is thinking about killing himself. Then has a couple of flashbacks of his childhood and how poorly he treated his mother. Then sees his mother, who died about 5 years ago. She takes him around town and they share one more day together....a lot of things i left out like the great ending.

Final Closing by Barbara Lee (In this novel, real estate agents are being threatened and one is found murdered after showing a home. The main character was first introduced in Death in Still Waters.)

Check here http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_adv_b/?search-alias=stripbooks&unfiltered=1&field-keywords=real+estate+agent&field-author=&field-title=&field-isbn=&field-publisher=&node=17&url=&field-binding=&field-subject=&field-language=&field-dateop=&field-dateyear=&sort=relevancerank&Adv-Srch-Books-Submit.x=31&Adv-Srch-Books-Submit.y=17 for a list of novels with something to do about real estate.

I would mention The Christmas Wish by Richard Siddoway. It is a very touching story that is an enjoyable read. Will must go back to the small town in which he was raised when his grandfather dies. His grandfather ran a real estate business, and Will must get it into shape before returning to his life in New York City. When his grandmother finds the name of an unknown woman in one of the journals her husband kept - one for every year of their married life - she wants to know who this woman was and what she had to do with her husband. Will is sent on a journey of discovery to find out the story behind the relationship between his grandfather and this mysterious woman.

This has nothing to do with real estate, but I would also recommend books by Rosamunde Pilcher like The Shell Seekers, September and Winter Solstice. She is a really great writer whose stories center around relationships and everyday problems as well as secrets kept, friendships and love. Her books have that sort of charming quality that makes you want them to go on and on and never end.

Another book I really enjoyed - ...And the Ladies of the Club by Helen Hooven Santmyer - was another charming story centering around a small town and a woman's book club. It's very long, but if you like books that show everyday lives with all the ups and downs and complicated relationships, this book is a must.

A writer whose stories were always interesting and full of the twists and turns of life is Taylor Caldwell. She wrote such stories as Answer as a Man, Captains and the Kings, Grandmother and the Priests, Wicked Angel (sort of like The Bad Seed), and Testimony of Two Men.

Maeve Binchy is another writer whose works you may enjoy. Her books also center around friendships, love, betrayal and everyday occurrences. She wrote Circle of Friends, for instance.

If you like mystery stories, I'd suggest anything by Agatha Christie. Mary Higgins Clark's stories are generally good, too.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I hope you find something you really enjoy.
