Sometimes it seem se care more about animals in pain but make ppl suffer. Other times I think it should be God's decision. I'm not sure. How do you feel?

I have had a digital camera for about two years, and I just wonder if folks who use photoshop recommend it for beginners or should we just continue using something like Picasa? I am just about out of subjects to shoot...or am I just unimagnative. Actually it's a very exciting medium...how does one know if his photos are really "art". I certainly don't want to be a diletante but I honestly don't know if this is good for me to pursue.

Does "nothing" and "something" really exist?

I mean, everything is something.
But things can't exist without there opposite,
I mean, there can be no good without evil, no hot without cold, ect.
So if everthings somthing, including nothing. Wouldn't that make "somthing" not have an opposite makeing it so that "something" and "nothing" don't exist?
But if "something" and "nothing" don't exist, what is this text your reading made out of?

Sitting alone with death

Who came a-knocking at my door

Just a bit ago

To bring me a package that enclosed something I had lost

Long, long ago

You see, that red ribbon flew out of my hands

And time became irrelevant once again

Because this is not the first

And last time

Death has visited me to bring me that ribbon

That might have put things,

In…out of place

Death’s yielding fingers tie the ribbon around my neck

then gallantly exits

Ready….set…go…

I untie the ribbon and with a snap of the wrist

Its gone…

I gladly watch the ribbon stream through the sky

So I may feel deaths brief touch once again

-What does Camu mean by Mersault being the only christ that we have?
-What does Meursault mean by saying ... "I laid myself open for the first time to the benign indifference of the world."

I have an English assignment and i have to write a 1000 word essay on the effect of comedy in Romeo and Juliet. This is not Comedy vs Tragedy it is just comedy. I personally think this topic is retareded. I have looked everywhere on ideas of what to put in it. So far i have how the play would be without the comedy and then i put how Benvolio and Mercutio make fun of Romeo for being in love with Rosaline. ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS????? IM SITTING AT 200 WORDS AND I NEED 1000 PLZ HELP

I live a few miles from the Getty Center (Los Angeles) and it's free to get in. (http://www.getty.edu). Anyway, during one of my frequent trips, I was walking down their beautiful stairs, and this caught me. I think it would be completely different if it were in black and white.

I used Canon 5D with Canon 50 mm f 2.5 Macro lens. It is an inexpensive lens--very very sharp, but a bid loud (during focus) and it served me well.

I have heard many people compare it to a graduation, but a graduation is really just a ceremony to show a level of proficiency; an arangetram is an actual concert. I want to be able to share the significance of the event with a Western audience who know nothing about Carnatic Music nor its traditions.

we directly experience 4 dimensions - 'up/down', 'in/out', 'side-to-side' and time, right?
how come we only experience the last one as being 'uni-directional'...if i understand it right then mathematically there's no reason for this?(i mean that time only goes one way for us,PLEASE put me right if i ain't!)...

my THOUGHT was that time was the dimension that we experience the other three 'in', as it were and that if we were in a fifth dimension that 'contained' space/time then we would be able to move back and forwards in time as easily as i can move up and down etc. is that right?

if so - how come the dimension at the top of my hierarch is directional? if we could experience a fifth dimension would THAT be one-directional like time is for us now? and - this is the important bit for me - WHYYY!!!????

any elucidating concepts would be appreciated, ty.
