"*****" is a Latin term meaning "black" . Obviously, this has to do with a predominance of skin shades. Some so-called "blacks" may be very black, while others may have different shades, but then more brown in color. Therefore, a person with brown skin tone might have skin so light they almost appear more white.

In the Deep South of the USA these descendents of Africans were sometimes regarded by different terms such as "cafe au lait" which is referring to the color of coffee mixed with milk. The freed descendents of Africans were referred to as "Free People of Color". Of course, some people had variations as to use of terminology. There were a number of notable "Free People of Color" in history. Therefore, the term "*****" may be over generalized and over-emphasized.

What difference does it make one's skin color or ancestry? We are simply talking about human beings. All human beings should be treated with reasonable respect. We shouldn't disturb anyone's life which is awarded by karma and this certainly should include prohibitions on torturing anyone no matter what the reason may be claimed.

Whether it was descendants of Africans or whomever, their educational state was relevant to the slavery phenomena. Now that slavery is almost entirely abolished worldwide by the laws of man, we still see that one's educational level is relevant in regards to one's ability to achieve the necessities of life both material and spiritual.

Education can be both material and spiritual. Education can be for good or it can be for evil. It is up to all human beings to know the difference.

Education means achieving knowledge. You can achieve knowledge in a special building or under a tree. What is the use of a library or school building without the effort to research educational materials whether in books, audio/visual, or some other format? After researching educational materials we then find some way to demonstrate the knowledge of what we have learned.

There has been much Islamic influence in Africa. Perhaps this is why you believed that peoples from Africa were primarily Islamic. During the times of slavery it is likely that most peoples from Africa had not been converted to Islamic beliefs.

People who owned slaves apparently took it for granted just as they took torture and other human sufferings for granted. Everyone was struggling with the environment even if they were wealthy.

Today scientific research has determined that we don't need to hurt, torture, or kill the creatures of the earth nor harm the environment of earth, water, air, etc. However, it is up to all human beings to make this truth the norm. Human beings should:

*Treat all humans with respect and fairness. There should be no torture or slavery. Human beings should not be exposed to unreasonable hazards at the work place. All humans should be entitled to as much education as they need for material well-being and spiritual success.

*Treat all creatures of the earth with respect. There should be no need to torture, injure or kill the creatures of the earth. We certainly do not need to kill the creatures of the earth for food since science has proven we do not need animal flesh for nutrition.

*Treat the whole environment including earth, water and air with respect with zero pollution. This is possible if human being realize this necessity and focus on this goal.

There was large amounts of money to be made on plantations in the topical regions of the Americas and the southern part of the US, and to make the money they needed labor. Europeans had brought to the Americas diseases that the Indians had no immunity, so the indigenous people have been reduced to 10% of their original population so could not supply enough labor. Europeans did not do well in the tropics and would not go threr willingly, and Europe was composed of nation states, so they could not raid for slaves., Asia was too far away. That left Africa which was convenient and weak as a place to get slaves.

Where in the world did you get the idea that blacks were Israelites? What planet are you from?

Two basic reasons for the enslavement of the black man are as follows:

(1) It was customary from the region of Africa from which they came, for the tribal chieftains to kill or enslave any one they conquered by means of arms. So that these chieftains were more than glad to co-operate with the Europeans, by selling them their war hostages for a price.

(2) The superior military technology of the Europeans at that time, enabled them to conquer just about any one they chose to. And the blacks seem to have been the most amenable race to enslave: why this was, I don't think any one has ever come up with a good answer. The Indians of the northamerican continent could not be enslaved; they simply died in the process of the Europeans experiment with them to do so.

You are wrong.

****** or blacks come from sub-Saharan Africa. The Israelites were much lighter in color and came from the Middle East.

Although Israelites were enslaved a few times in their history, it has nothing to do with the Africans who were slaves in the USA. Most of those Africans (1st generation) were sold to European slave traders by other Africans.

The same reason that every other group of people in history has been enslaved: for the material gain of their masters.

As for your second comment, you are not correct. A few blacks were/are Israelites, but by no means all or even most. There is a group of black Jews living (I think) in Ethiopia, but that is the exception, not the rule.

One good reason is that there were lots of them and in the beginning of 1700's they wanted freedom and go to a different country then they were told they were indentured servants- people who work on a plantation for a set of years to get there freedom, The whites made the African Americans slaves for two reasons. 1. if they were free they would have nowhere to go, 2. didn't have to pay them.
