"Commentators have frequently diagnosed a syphilitic infection as the cause of the illness; however, some of Nietzsche's symptoms — and the long period before it presumably began affecting his mind — seem inconsistent with some cases of syphilis. While most commentators regard Nietzsche's breakdown as unrelated to his philosophy, some, including Georges Bataille and René Girard, argue that his breakdown may have been caused by a psychological maladjustment brought on by his philosophy."

After I reviewed their contrat and realized they are selling membership which will get me discount for acting class, photo... and will get me in showcase meeting with agents. I have to pay a lots of membership fee upfront and pay discounted fee for all other things--acting costs$240, photshoot costs $75 (only 50 prints) modeling class $160, Singing class $160....Is that worthy to do this ? or I should go get my own photo and send it out to agents myself ? Has anyone had experience with them? Any result?

In Ferlinghetti's poem "Reading Apollinaire by the Rouge River," at the end it reads:
"As I sit reading a French poet
whose most famous poem is about
the river that runs through the city
taking time & life & lovers with it
and none returning
none returning"
I have read Apollinaire and tried researching this but still cannot figure out which poem he is referring to. Does anyone know?

I recently read Arthur Miller's Memoirs in which he mentioned how when 'Death of a Salesman' was on Broadway, it showed to full houses every night, and he was making about $20,000 a week in royalties. The idea that a 'serious' play could have such an impact today seems basically 'zero' today. I've heard the arguments about ticket prices, competition from film, tv, but could the reason be that people no longer have a 'suspension of disbelief' but rather think that it's pretty dumb to watch real live people acting in front of you pretending they're saying and doing things that are just made up since it's so obvious that they are just 'acting.' And a related point, is there any playwright in the U.S. that can make a living just writing plays and not teach or write screenplays/teleplays as well.

My teacher in my religions class told us that the adam and eve story as been interpreted as a metaphor by some scholars as something I found really interesting.
He said in this metaphor the eve isn't literally offering adam the forbidden fruit but is offering sex, this could be why they have to cover the private areas when god gets angry and why woman is cursed with childbearing pain (because life is created through sex) Anyways....
I am really interested in it and want to know if you've heard about it, what you think of it, I would love further info or facts that could point to this being true, or any good websites. Thank you.

I found a website for "ALZO" floodlights; this company boasts a new 'cool light' that they claim is better for studio digital photography than flash. However, the prices are outrageous. A three light set up with softboxes for $2,000 to $5,000. Is there any truth to their claim, and if so, are there alternatives to THEIR products? I find it hard to believe they've developed a floodlight that is so superior to any other.

This was a poem I read many years ago. Probably about in the 1970's or 80's. One line reads: Beacuse no horns will blow. Another something like this: Don't think the task your doing is insignificant or small

Alright, so I'm looking for a good camera to start on, but nothing too (limited in controls) but I don't want to pay too much. Any experience with something that worked out to pay off in the long run. I want to get a good camera with enough megapixels to not be limited in what I can print. I also want a
good enough lens to shoot from up close things, to models. A Nikon D80 was recommended but just the body is rather expensive, but I don't want a D40, and be limited. Is there a happy medium to this situation?
A little help please.
I also want the camera to last me, so I can shoot things a few years from now, I dont want it to be "outdated".
Is eBay an option here?
Thanks!

What is the most profound question that you can ask?

Why is it the most profound question that you can think of to ask?

PS:
The one word question 'Why?' is not allowed, it is too broad and lacks context. It is too easy to ask and it is virtually impossible to answer without context.

Please explain your reasoning’s about your question.

Thanks.
