Compassion is my strength...yet it is my weakness as well. I think the biggest part I can play in the midst of an unfair world is to be sensitive to my surroundings and to help when I can. Whatever form helping takes on...whether its going to another country and serving... or just pushing a cart that is in the middle of the parkinglot to where it should go. Sometimes I feel like I become to self absorbed.... always wanting more.... always trying to be better at this or that... always trying to find a way to present myself better and prettier... and its during those times that my eyes are focused on myself that I take them off what truly matters. And what truly matters to me is an ever changing world around me that maybe I wont go down in history with like some of the greats in the past.... but maybe I can do something, say something...that will make a difference to at least one person.

Christianity survived two thousand years in the midst of human conflict because it remained faithful to its calling to serve as witness to God's love and saving power in the midst of human conflict. Justice, poverty and want are not contemporary phenomena. It has always been and will always be in the world, for as long as man follows his will and not God's will. As a Christian, my role is the same before: to witness the truths of my faith 1. Goodness will eventually triumph in the end 2. faith can move mountains 3. Suffering and pain can be liberating 4. the blood of the martyrs/faithful suffering patiently (not delivering bombs in God's name) prepares the way for a better world to follow 5. This world is not the end of everything 6. Forgiving those who do us harm
works miracles for all 7. Love means working selflessly for the benefit of others 8. Compassion is the daughter of love 9. God's will is for you to be saved, so He may not give you directly what you want 10. I must be ready to lay down my life any moment to give witness to my faith.

Well Christian would obviously want to help another christian only. Except for a few caring human beings like Mother Theresa.
IN general, human should learn to love others as their own.
