This was a poem I read many years ago. Probably about in the 1970's or 80's. One line reads: Beacuse no horns will blow. Another something like this: Don't think the task your doing is insignificant or small

Isn't it a poem by Herbert Read? I can't find his poems on line but you should try a library.

Sounds like Alexander Pope's Epistles to Several Persons: Epistle to Dr. Arbuthnot.
