Because a lot of the music from singers from Spain sound similar to Arabic. Like Flamenco. David Bisbal's music sounds Arabic a little bit.

The prompt is:

Discuss the literary elements and/or the type of persuasion Steinbeck uses to fulfill his rhetorical purpose in chapter 19 of The Grapes of Wrath.

My thesis is:

In chapter 19, Steinbeck uses devices such as imagery and details to convey a rhetorical message of dehuminization by portraying immgrants as objects, and the discrimination they face from wealthy landowners.

Help? =]

I have already asked a question on how to choose a song for my audition, but I'm pressed for time and I have narrowed it down to these, which I am comfortable singing:
I Enjoy Being a Girl -- Flower Drum Song
I Am Sixteen Going on Seventeen (although I've already been convinced you shouldn't sing songs from the show you're auditioning for)
I Know Things Know -- Into the Woods
Tonight -- West Side Story

I do know that the last two aren't very relevant to the character I'm aiming for (Louisa, 13), but I've finally decided I need to sing a song I'm comfortable with. I need help choosing which one to sing... if you have a better idea for me (upper/mezzo soprano) then please include it! :)

I just moved to a town near Joplin, MO. As I was driving down a back road exploring I found this really old cemetery that was overgrown with weeds and falling apart. History is my life, especially preserving it. It really upsets me that people just let history fall apart like the cemetery. I want to clean and fix up this cemetery, to honor the people that are buried there, and make it so people can go to their ancestors grave sites and make rubbings of the tombstones. My question is where do I go to get permission to clean and fix up this cemetery? Like who in the city would I go to? And would they let a 17 year old girl do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Choose between Lincoln's "Gettysburg Address" and Mark Twain's novel "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn".

Which would you keep, and why?

Are your reasons social? historical? spiritual?
tell me what value you see in both documents, and which one YOU value MORE.

Thanks!

I want to make a life size version of a movie character (human male) for myself and my friends amusement, sillyness, jokes, etc. I've looked around online but can only find patterns for small dolls. I don't want him to be paper mache or like a statue, but somewhat soft and posable. Just to be clear I'm not doing this for anything dirty (which is another prob i ran into looking around online). Any help, advice, tips, patterns would be extremely helpful.

When im indoors in a very well lit room with my camera in aperture priority mode and the flash on, the aperture is at 4.0 and the shutter speed between 15/20. Is this normal? Should the shutter speed be so low? How can i ever take an action shot under these conditions? Then when i do snap the pic, the shutter stays open so long that i try to find a way to get it to close just out of aggravation. Same thing outside only opposite. When i raise my ap to something high for a landscape pic, the speed is so low again that it will nver take.

Here's the idea: Time does not exist. The universe is made up of cycles things die and things are born. There is no such thing as a beginning or an end. For example, a seed is planted and grows the plant dies but it has planted more seeds. The universe never began, it just always existed.. The world is recycling constantly, all elements of space and all atoms are recycled, atoms are shared...

Imagine a world were people lived peacefully due to a large "human internet" where we are connected to one another.

Through this network, we have the ability to understand each other better and thus we can resolve conflicts-everything would be peacful and content.

However, would the fact that you would never truly be alone bother you?

It's just an idea I was tossing around, but is a united world a bad thing were we lose individualism but work together as a "true" communtiy for the benefit of everyone?
