There is a link for an online casting scam right here in answers. What is with the moderators? Let's bring it to their attention. The very type of thing the professionals on here are trying to save people from being taken by and they have a sponsored link!

P.S. I've officially had enough of this forum. There's been a kid posting MLM spam all day every day using a different name but the same link for over a year. He still has an account and Yahoo has done nothing about it. I report postings that are clearly flagrant violations and they are not deleted. When a kid reports me for not telling them what they want to hear even though I am careful to adhere to the community guidelines my posting gets deleted. I e-mail to ask what my violation was and I get no response. Many of the questions are from people who are so cluless that even if you give a great answer it won't help. More often than not I come away being upset. If that's going to be the case then I'm better off not going here anymore. Bye to my friends.

I feel you Big R. I'm not sure which scam you're refering to though, but if you message me I'll report it :-) It's also a shame if they don't bother to check out their advertisers.

I don't think there are any moderators. I've reported more things lately than I ever have before including sexual references directed towards minors and I don't think any of them have been removed even though I started labeling them as illegal... and I too have had things removed and had no response when I ask why. It would be nice if people just had common sense, but that's one thing I don't think runs rampant here :-)

Unfortunately I think many people here also don't appreciate good advice since they either let it go to a vote where someone with 40 acounts chooses their own answer which was something like "I don't know, sorry" or the asker chooses an answer that told them what they wanted to hear, and it certainly wasn't the one with the best or most correct advice even though they had at least a few to choose from that gave them credible info. Tony, Theatre_Gurl, Cider, OnCameraTalent, Earl D, BoRhappin, and a few others give good solid advice and many times it's not taken. All they want to hear is "You go gurl, you cud b da nex Myley Cyrus! Just go to dis site and give dem ur money cuz dey will hook u up wit an agent and it ony costs $500! Dey discovered me in da mall fo real!"

There's no getting through to someone who chooses an answer like that. The reason I come back is for the ones that do choose my answer and send me thank you notes. For every 10 that don't there's one that does and is actually appreciative. I actually don't answer as many of those any more. I get enough that message me privately so I answer q's about audition songs or other types of questions.

I hope you just take a few days off and come back, If not, at least come back to visit. We need more good guys :-)

Besides, if your one of the people who actually vote for my answers what am I gonna do without you!?!?!?!?!? ha ha, oh well huh?

Peace,
Marianne

Yes, amigo, we are paying attention. You know, Us. The ones who care.

Unfortunately, we do not set policy. I know this sounds like a "Good German" cop-out, but I never actually belived that any of these self-centered, stuck-up little brats would listen to me in the first place. Marianne is right. They just want to be told what they want to hear.

As we have previously discussed, I do not give a rat's patootie for the points( how do you get that cool chessman thing by your name, btw?), and I will continue to answer any question that I feel qualified to answer. If my sage advice is ignored or voted down (check my Best Answer percentage in my Profile), it is not my problem. If the little snots do not want to listen, let them find out the hard way. I tried. The rest is on them.

Herewith is Cider's Unsolicited Advice: Do not expect non-existant Moderators to intervene, do not expect to convert the Hoi Polloi, and if a question seems asinine, or merely a repeat of the same damn question you have answered a gazillion times, ignore it and move on.

I am here to relax and have fun, not to pander to brainless pre-teens.
