Or do our brain waves go beyond? Kinda like a collective memory, of sorts. (not sure if this is the right category to ask this)

Who do we mean when we say we? Carl Jung was very big on something called the collective unconsciousness. The person is more closely identified with consciousness than it is with the physical body. We are part of a web of relationships which define our being, as much social as individual. Time and space are merely categories of human consciousness only loosely corresponding to physical reality. The skin isn't even a medium that individuates us from our environment, although it holds the physical centre of that environment together in what we call a body. Perhaps we could say we begin with rather than end with our skin.

Our brain waves definitely emanate into the space around us! Have you ever been sitting in a room and someone incredibly happy walks in? And you can just feel their positive energy? Or, if you're walking down the street and you see someone pissed off and you just want to stay as far away from them as possible? Or ever walked into a room where two people have been arguing, and even though they stopped right before you saw them, you can feel that they've been fighting?

That's what an aura is- the waves of energy that surround us. Thoughts are made of energy, and they certainly travel through space, they don't just stop at our skin. You can learn to see auras- they're not vividly colored, it's just being able to pick up on the subtle energy that surrounds everyone- the energy created by their thoughts.
