Can you provide me with any details on how the "Salmon of doubt" was made? How many people were employed to extract the several tid bits from his computers to make that story? Were they editors or computer experts? how old were they? When did this process start? Did his wife have any objections to it? etc

Also do you know where can I have resources about adam's personal life, his home , its decorations, his freinds its(sources other than the official DNA website and the Neil Gayman Book)
Thank you very much

X and Y are in conversation. X: Name any event at all that you guarantee will happen on 12th April 2093. Y: Why then? X: Never mind, just nominate any event. Y: The sun will rise that day, will that do? X: Sure, would you like to bet on it? Y: Bet on it? Are you saying you would bet against it?
X: Yes. Y: That's ridiculous. X: 100 dollars. Y: I'll take it.

Why will X not lose his bet?

Reconstruct and evaluate the following argument:

Studying philosophy at university is bad for your health. All these students go, and by the end of their degree they’re all smoking and drinking too much. You get all these ivory-tower academics saying that people should study this-and-that philosophy. Of course they say that! Who do you think pays for these eccentric layabouts with their bad clothes and daft ideas? There are plenty of other reasons not to go as well. Either you study philosophy at university or you get a proper career and give something back to the British economy. And who wouldn’t want to help our great country in this way? Traitors, that’s who!

Hello. I am starting to get interested in WW2 after listening to my grandfather's tales but am a bit confused about the Nazi military structure, any help welcome!

So here goes: the standard German army wore a grey uniform and 'kettle' helmet, or a peaked cap for Officers. These were the conscripts and infantry soldiers.

The SS were the elite troops (like the Parachute Regiment or Royal Marines of the UK?) and wore an identical uniform to the army, but in black. Again, peaked caps for Officers.

The Waffen SS was just a subdivision of the SS and looked identical. Both were characterised by the 'Death Head' cap badge and were active military personnel.

The Gestapo were not military as such but dealt with intelligence and spying/ interrogation type things, like a paramilitary secret police. No uniform but commonly portrayed in black trenchcoats.

Have I got this right? I'm most confused about the SS/ Waffen SS; were they elite troops or more involved in intelligence?

In other words, we think a lot of things to be true... some of them we claim to be our beliefs and some other things we claim to be our knowledge.... how do we make out the difference between what we know and what we believe?
