I think that.

Because when we sleep, time goes so quick when we wake up.

If what you really are is your conscious awareness fortified by your sense experiences then when you sleep this awareness ceases and you can sense nothing. You are for all practical purposes dead! Time goes by nearly instantaneously because YOU ARE DEAD! Your body still functions but YOU are unaware of it. You can not return to awareness (consciousness) unaided; someone or something has to awaken you. This may be your subconscious or unconscious mind , an alarm clock you have set or your mother. Or could it be some supernatural entity? Maybe even Jung's "collective unconscious" or God?

In any case when you sleep the passing of time, for you, ceases but goes on for the rest of the universe (in the sense that the time aspect of space-time includes duration). There is no duration for you (your sensing awareness for the period of your sleep) so you have instantaneously passed through the time that the universe has endured.

Good luck tonight in your time travel, good mental health, peace and Love!

I believe if only we think out of the box, nothing, in reality, would have been regarded as impossible. In sleep can the mysteries of the human mind, existence and spirituality be unraveled. Yes, spirituality resides in there. Questions that have eluded the human mind can be tapped there, in sleep. I myself have flown through time in my sleep visiting--would you believe?-- my ancestors I've never seen before! I've also experienced the sensation of falling from a great height. Sleep is no different from the state of being hypnotized, for experiments have shown that a person under hypnosis can traced his soul reincarnated from different periods long past. The sneering skeptics in us should at least beware. The real "reality" is not confined to the material aspects of reality and eternity that we know as common knowledge.

Very interesting question!!

While dreaming, we do seem to go back and forth in time at will and also as fast or slow as necessary for the experience of the relevant dreams..... even if we probably do not actually travel through time, it does look like as though the time dimension has acquired some strange characteristics that we can not experience while awake. Yes, one of the reasons dreams seem to be so fragmented or even unintelligible sometimes could well be due to our experiencing time in a very different way than we do while awake.

Nice question... quite enjoyable to think through!!

The quantum zero field does not seem to involve time the way we experience it, nor distance. Entangled particles respond together instantaneously, no matter how far appart they are. In sleep, the body doesn't need to travel and the mind can skate the field.

we do travel through time i guess. but since our minds are in "sleep" mode, i guess we are not aware of the tim ethat passes. it always seems so quick when we get up because of it. but no, i dont think we pass through time like, time traveling.

Of course, because we were unconscious and our minds were in rest (we don't look at clocks when we sleep). But in my opinion, time just travel in the same speed.

Yes depending how evolved our souls develop ...when you are younger you can not travel far from your body. When you dream at sight your soul leaves your body and then you are flying on the astral level of your dreams ...................................

You can even travel to Greece or Italy if you are in the US if you focus your mind before you sleep it works trust me hehehehehe now for the man that I want or use to want hehehe its hard to get him on the same ASTRAL PLANE but I will keep hoping I will get a glimpse of him hehehehehe
