Hi,
Many many people feel like you. Life is difficult. Perhaps it was never meant to be easy. It's how we cope with it that matters. It is so easy too to fall into habits and people can get into a habit of thinking negative things. Change your mind-set, try to be grateful for the good that is in your life. Think of how you would cope if for instance you had an accident that left you disabled, as my sister did? Volunteer to help a community or charitable venture and start helping those less fortunate. Life is full of ups and downs and sometimes at times the downs seem plentiful, I know but all you can do is try to cope as best as you can and try to stay positive.

The phrase, "was I meant" implies that your life has a purpose. Meant implies a design and a design implies an intelligence behind the design.

In other words, your question is meaningless unless there is God.

If God doesn't exist, life is inherently without purpose, without meaning and pointless. All of our search for peace and happiness will ultimately fail because those things require us to have a true reason for living.

If God does exist, our purpose must be to seek Him.

Sometimes the greatest people have the worst of luck. As they say, it "builds character". How many people do you know who seem wealthy, beautiful, have it all? If they haven't worked hard to get all of that and just had it all handed to them, do u think they'd actually have a fighting chance in the world when faced with a REAL challenge? heck no! You are a true warrior.

"Hard luck" makes one appreciate those good things, for you cannot know peace without first having experienced turmoil.
This should be a catalyst to overcome the odds and be GREAT despite it all!
Control your surroundings....don't let your surroundings control you.

To serve the Lord. Once you truly begin to believe and have faith, everything else comes easy. You become fearless, do not fret over little things, and you feel empowered to make a difference in this world. There's nothing that can compare to that. Because in all honesty, your life isn't that bad. I don't have to know you to know that. There are BILLIONS of people who have it far worst. Accept your blessings and put it to use.

If you ask yourself, 'why does there need to be a point?' and 'who told me there needs to be a point?' you may see a conflict in what you really are and what your culture/society says you should be. Good and Bad are both defined by that same culture and you are condition by that culture to look at the world with that measuring stick. If the stick is gone then there really isn't a good or bad circumstance, just a situation you need to deal with.

You are a problem solver.

Life is a test to see if you are a GOOD problem solver, or a whiney little *****.

Good luck.
