what d'u mean by "a new life"?

For the most part, it takes something tragic or ground-shaking for people to overhaul their outlook and start to do things differently...the death of someone dear, 911, Calif fires, the birth of a child, an accident, a debilitating disease etc. All these have a profound effect and can make people change course in life or start "a new life" as opposed to how they have carried on prior to any of these events.

Hope this answers your q somehow.

Once; it was a blessing --- there is no other word for it. It came at a time when I least expected it and when there seemed no hope of it ever happening.
