Part Five: The Single Hound

XXIV

THE DIFFERENCE between despair
And fear, is like the one
Between the instant of a wreck,
And when the wreck has been.

The mind is smooth,—no motion— 5
Contented as the eye
Upon the forehead of a Bust,
That knows it cannot see.

** is there any site i could find a FREE analysis of the poem?

Yesterday (Oct. 25) was St. Crispin's Day. I seem to recall that some important historical event happened on that day (possibly something recorded in a Shakespeare play) but I can't remember what it was. Any help?

*****
Hallowed Saints Eve

What’s that?…out there behind the maple,
I will not see it if I don’t look out the window,
I’ll stay here with sheets pulled over my eyes,

I’m frightened by the night,
The lightless hours,
I wait here for the sun,
Under the blankets, where it’s warm,

What’s that sound…the damn cat!?!
Where’s my Louisville bat?
If, whatever it is, comes inside, I’ll give it a whack!

I lay back, close my eyes, trapping the voices inside,
If I sleep I will not hear the sounds it makes,
No mistake, I’d rather be awake, at guard, alive…

If I could capture the meaning
Of thoughts I am feeling
And words that show
How endless and eternal
The depth of yearning.

Capture the thought that eludes me
Paint a picture, of hope and wanting
With words that feel the longing.

Hearts are weak as needs are stronger
Makes wonders magical
Powerful energy drawing you closer
To me.

Blending, united, perfectly fit
Together, creating all bliss
Bountiful love, everlasting joy
Share worlds, souls entwined.

Growth and expansion perfectly expressed
All That Is encouraging and knowing
Teaching the lessons of growing
Darkly, our secrets are telling.

Bound to me for eternity
No other can last in contrast
My heart says what words cannot
Strength endures, softness cries out.

With all there is to desire
Cherish the seconds forever
Hope and truth, hand in hand
Walking together ever and ever.

The feeling without thoughts or imaginings
Take me where vision is lacking

A lot of people make mistakes. Sometimes, it would cross our minds to wish we could go back in time and correct that mistake.

Now, I want your opinion... If you were given a chance to re-do one mistake you made in your life, what would it be and why?

I want you to be open up. Best Answer gets 10 points!

Ok, so we have learned that Dumbledore is gay. I have no problem with this, and I think it is great for equality. JKR's book are all about tolerence and understanding so its no surprise that someone is gay. But I havent actually seen in the stories anything that would make me think he was gay. Can someone please point me to instances where he says, does, gives a hint that he is indeed gay?

I have no problem with him being gay, i just wanted to see some clues or hints. Are there any? He ever conjure a purple teddy bear, or complement snapes backside or something? anything guys?
