No the Battle of Britian was fought while the Jedi were still in control. They detected the effort to get X wings and Tie fighters into Europe and destroyed them with their light sabers. The metal was used to make the Chunnel.

It was mainly fought between Messerschmidt's (Me-109's) and the Marine Spitfire...with the new rolls royce engine the spitfires were badass planes...thay saved britain, along with the brave pilots...btw it is battle of britain, not battle in britain as the dope above said...
