I LOVE H/G!!!!! Harry and Ginny are a perfect match. I think she's the only one who can deal with his temper, lol. LIke in OOP, she was the only one to actually yell back when he was yelling at them. I dunno, I always knew they were gonna be together, they were made for eachother. Ron and Hermione too. R/H remind me of Lily and James. The way they are always fighting and then FINALLY get together. I love it.
I think I'm a bit like each of them, Hermione because I'm a bookworm, Ron because I'm impulsive, Harry cause I don't want lots of attention (even when I'm pushed into the limelight) and I have the best friends in the world, Ginny cause I have a temper if you reeeeally make me mad, and though you didnt say it I'm kinda like Neville too, shy and quiet usually but I can kick your butt if the need be. I'm quite a bit of Luna also.

Hmm... I luv Ginny/Harry. They are soo cute together. Than again, I can't inmagine Hermione and Ron NOT together. But one over the other, I'd say Harry and Ginny. I mean, there's less tension in the friendship like that anyhow.
I think I'm a little of all of them. I'm the bookworm, the reasonable one, yet, I have a tendency to act like Ron sometimes. I also know how to kick butt like Ginny if I need to. As for Harry, he has to put up with all of these people, the same thing my sanity has to do! But all joking aside with that, he really values friendship, and he hates attention. But that's the reason these characters are so great! JK Rowling made it so that you can relate to all of them!

I'm unsure that one needs to choose. Hermione and Ron were getting obvious as a couple from as early as PoA, and you saw the development of the relationship. Hermione knew Ron was the one for her much longer than Ron finally came to grips with his feels for Hermione, and more importantly, how to properly act on them.
With Harry and Ginny, we didn't see as much of the development. It is clear Ginny lost her heart to Harry from the start. Harry didn't really "see" Ginny until OotP, but when he did, he understood his feelings a lot faster that Ron did for Hermione. We just don't see the development in the detial we do for R & H.

I like Ron and Hermione. JK hinted at something between them for 3 books before finally letting them kiss. The Harry and Ginny relationship is alright, but it wasn't as exciting.

I always thought they were both a mismatch. Frankly I was very surprised to read that Hermione and Ron got married; and even more suprised that Ginny and Harry tied the knot.
Personally I think Hermione and Harry would have been a smart match.

Both ships are great for canon purposes.
My personal favorite canon couple is the ever so dramatic and confused Ron and Hermione.
It was fun to watch the progress of Ron and Hermione's relationship over the entire series, and so satisfying when they finally got together. It stopped all the ridiculous speculation from Harry/Hermione shippers who seemed to miss Rowling's "anvil-size hints" about Ron/Hermione. I loved that they finally got together over Ron's house elf epiphany, as I also loved Hermione's riot-grrl esque S.P.E.W. campaign in Goblet of Fire. The knitting espionage was just too good!
Ginny and Harry are just perfect for each other in canon. I know I wasn't the only one cheering for that long-awaited kiss in Half-Blood Prince! They understand each other perfectly, and probably have the cutest kids in the fictional world.
But I am totally for any ship at all as long as it is written well and makes sense in the story itself, with the exception of Harry/Nagini or Dumbledore/Giant Squid, both of which I have unfortunately come across in my fan-fiction adventures.
I know a lot of Harry/Draco shippers and fellow Severus/Hermione shippers as well. Nothing bothers me as long as the fan in question can separate canon from fanatic.

I LOVE HARRY/GINNY!!!!! even more than Ron/Hermione! i just love them together!!! sooo cute and sweet!! my friend is so weird! she hates them together and hates Ginny. says that JK doesn't know how to write romance and all the pairings suck! wtf is up with her! and i think i'm most lke Hermione cuz i'm very bookish but still can have tons of fun with my friends and i'm pretty smart too!
