If I could capture the meaning
Of thoughts I am feeling
And words that show
How endless and eternal
The depth of yearning.
Capture the thought that eludes me
Paint a picture, of hope and wanting
With words that feel the longing.
Hearts are weak as needs are stronger
Makes wonders magical
Powerful energy drawing you closer
To me.
Blending, united, perfectly fit
Together, creating all bliss
Bountiful love, everlasting joy
Share worlds, souls entwined.
Growth and expansion perfectly expressed
All That Is encouraging and knowing
Teaching the lessons of growing
Darkly, our secrets are telling.
Bound to me for eternity
No other can last in contrast
My heart says what words cannot
Strength endures, softness cries out.
With all there is to desire
Cherish the seconds forever
Hope and truth, hand in hand
Walking together ever and ever.
The feeling without thoughts or imaginings
Take me where vision is lacking

Expression of your thoughts and feelings are never weird, I have always felt that yes there are specific ways to write a poem but I have never conformed to that normalcy
Art is art and emotions are emotions...everyone is different and as you write more you will create a style all your own
It is not the way you write that matters, but the thought that goes into it

Modern poetry uses sharp, detailed images. Your words are too general-- thoughts, eternal, magical, secrets, eternity--to evoke
a clear meaning.
Consider:
The apparition of these faces in a crowd;
petals on a wet black bough.
