Hitler believed in the idea of eugenics, which stated that certain races were dominant over other races. It was derived from the theory of evolution. Hitler used this idea to conceive of the master race of people which had blonde hair and blue eyes, according to him. He also chose blond hair and blue eyes because that was the way typical nordic races looked.

Hitler only liked blonde eyed blue eyed people because he believed in racial superiority and eugenics, which means that certain races were dominant over other races. he used the theory of evolution to back this up stating the the aryan race was the supiour human race and that they would be the ones to survive and evolve much like different variations of species in the animal kingdom. to him the blonde haird blue eyed people typical to germany and austria where he grew up where the ideal and in his book mien kemph he sets forward his idea of them being a master race.
if u want to go all physological about it you could say it was self loathing because they were evrything he wasn't!... being short, dumpy and dark wasn't appealing to him obviuosly! or it could go all sexual about it and take the rumours that he was bisexual and simply these men where his sexual preference!... but as somebody pointed out his mistress eva bruan wasn't exactly conforming to the master race!
another optionis it could have been a propaganda thing to convince the german people of their dominance over other races...
oh and he was crazy! :)

Why blonde hair and blue eyes?
My mother had red hair and green eyes and I have brown hair and my eyes are Hazel (greenish blue/grey).
So I guess my mother and I don't wouldn't qualify under Hitler's supreme race definition?
