The cultural values that the ancient Greeks possess are literature, love, sports, art, music, and entertainment. There are many reasons for the purpose of the myths such as an early form of science, to explain nature, for entertainment, and sometimes, and to explain nothing at all. Also, the ancient Greeks valued their gods, hence the gods established errors as the humans did.

This is a snapshot that I took yesterday. I figured it would work best as a high key thing so I upped exposure 1.5 stops over 'correct' just before I took it. It's a candid shot. I just walked up and took it.

The background is a stainless steel door and the lighting on the subject is open shade (skylight). For the curious, the EXIF info is available with the image.

I added highlight and shadow diffusion in photoshop. You can also post a comment when you view the image. The best viewing is to pick slide show.

Thanks for all opinions.

John McCain is quoted as saying ""The Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation."

I have searched in vain for some Article in the Constitution that so establishes the United States as a "Christian Nation" and am unable to find it.

Given that I have graduate degrees in both Law and Theology I felt sure that I would be able to identify that portion of the Constitution that Senator McCain was referring to but, alas, my search has been to no avail.

I therefore conclude there must be another Constitution of the United States that he was thinking of when he made this assertion of fact.

Can someone please direct me to it? Or, in the alternative, cite to the section of the more commonly known Constitution that he was referencing.

If you had to make a movie or soundtrack to the book, what song would you use and try to explain why.

I'm 63 and in poor health and probably will live another 4 or 5 years. Lets say i die in 2012. Lets say in 2012 you will be 20 yrs. old and probably will live to be one hundred. So there will be about 80 yrs. that you will see and experience things i never will. Well, at least i was around long enough to see the internet, cell phone, and camcorder. What will your eyes see that mine never will? If you wish, include where you think will be in space exploration also. Hope one of them is bring back the dead. Ha

I’ve always wanted to learn to scuba dive, because I love to explore new and exciting places. Ever since I was a little girl, the ocean has fascinated me. I used to sit on the beach and watch the minnows dart about in the ocean, wishing I could be with them discovering the mysteries of the deep blue. Last summer, I snorkeled for the first time and loved it. I explored the reefs of the Florida Keys and got to see the colorful underwater world I often dreamed about, but had only ever seen in books and at the aquarium. I fell in love with the bright neon colors of the tropical fish, and the graceful dolphins that played in the surf. I was envious of the scuba divers who could dive down very deep and peer in dark holes, never needing to surface for breath. Right then and there, I promised myself I would learn to scuba one day. I knew that eventually I would be among those scuba divers exploring the deepest reefs and trenches. That was my dream, and I know that one day it will come true.

It seems that the most shy people always have some issues with themselves, whether it be low self-confidence, pesstimism, or whatever. Now I know that not everyone is a social butterfly, but is it possibly to be shy and feel good about you self and life in general? I also know that not all outgoing people have no self-confidence issues, though the majority don't.

anywhere from 3rd-6th graders.
i was trying to find some guitar fret charts that are empty that i could have the kids draw in where they put there fingers for C, D, A, and ect. chords.
but i cant find any.
should i start by teaching them the parts on the guitar or the chords and then jump into songs?
and if anyone could find that guitar fret diagram it would help out a bunch.
thanks!

I'm not into fantasy or fiction books really. I don't like books about the war, or the "old times" (1800's)

I've recently read House Of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski, I've also recently read a Kurt Vonnegut book, Sirens Of Titan, which was okay. I like his style of writing so...

Does anyone know any good books?
