It seems that the most shy people always have some issues with themselves, whether it be low self-confidence, pesstimism, or whatever. Now I know that not everyone is a social butterfly, but is it possibly to be shy and feel good about you self and life in general? I also know that not all outgoing people have no self-confidence issues, though the majority don't.

Shyness (difficulty to represent oneself in a public forum) is only a sign of potential weakness.

A person is neither weak nor strong if they feel shy. How one handles shyness will establish whether or not it is to become/remain a weakness.

But don't confuse quiet or reserved with shy. Many just like their privacy, while others choose to listen rather than talk. Others simply don't need a high level of interaction. Many consider other avenues for bold expression (like art or music). And at times, they're just trying to be polite in light of a disagreeable viewpoint.

Shyness may or may not be a weakness, but at least the image of being shy can be a useful tool. Using this false impression to deceive others can be a major advantage to not only avoiding conflict but masking one's true nature as well. Just because someone seems shy doesn't necessarily mean they are truly weak.

Though they may look the same from the outside, there is a major difference between going within and drawing my strength from inner resources and being shy. The difference is in knowing when to speak and when to remain silent, and having the courage to boldly step forward when called up to serve. One is living from the strength found in God, the other is part of Soul's learning process that one Soul is not better, or less than another.

being shy to me is not a sign of weakness. Everyone has their own issues and quirks.
