Well, geniuses are usually considered crazy or insane no matter how sane they are, because their beliefs and theories are so radical. After their death, then we begin to see the truth in what they had to say.

Keeping in mind that insanity is a legal term and has to do with the law, I'm assuming what you really mean is mentally ill. There is no line between the two. Some genius are mentally ill just as some average people and some mentally challenged are. Mental illness is never dependent on genius and conversely. Most of the great minds of the past 200 years were not mentally ill. Most of the mentally ill people of the past 200 years were not genius. Your correlation is faulty. but if you truly mean insane/insanity then you are pathetically off base because the insane are more often than not personality disordered and not mentally ill although they might be mentally disabled.

Its not a line they can exist simultaneously.

The idea of an insane genius is a little off, if someone is insane they tend to think of things that are irrational, if they also happen to be a genius that can bring them to fruition when other people can't

But their are plenty of geniuses who think inside the box and spend years of their life calculating Pi out one additional decimal place. Or something of that ilk.

And then their are some geniuses that think outside the box and make things that seem impossible, possible.

Almost imaginary, I think that circumstances are very important to make a discover for good as a genius, or to make a fatal mistake as insanity.

definite, it particularly is a skinny line. a number of the excellent creative geniuses have additionally been tortured souls who at last grew to become insane. Others have tiptoed alongside that line their total lives -I won't call any names, yet you are able to possibly think of of one or 2.

well insanity really doesn't have anything to do with intelligence but it has something to do with perception of whats normal or ok. A person cant be insane if he is just like evry one else.

The fact that they are smarter and more intelligent than others does usually mark them as insane, although they are usually just unconventional.
