Hi,

I've been playing sax for years and years... it was working yesterday, but today it's not.

I picked it up and tried to play..
everything sounds like I'm using the octave key.
I can kinda make some notes (B, A) work slightly by using undertones, but G is always weird and so is everything below that.

Do you think it is a leak?

Or what?

And how hard is it to fix?

I need it for band tomorrow...... :-(

The unpredictability implied by quantum mechanics has done away with the Newtonian world view, in which all future events are predetermined. In our evolutionary worldview, there always is a choice: a variety of possibilities, some of which are retained by selection. The defining characteristic of a cybernetic agent is some degree of control over that selection. Because of their capacity for thought, people, moreover, are not only free to choose between given possibilities, but able to conceive novel possibilities and explore their consequences. Is this free will and are we really allowed to practice it?

This question defines the domain of epistemology. Knowledge is the existence in a cybernetic system of a model, which allows that system to make predictions, that is, to anticipate processes in its environment. Thus, the system gets control over its environment. Such a model is a personal construction, not an objective reflection of outside reality. what do you think?

Besides being a piano teacher or a performer. Could I be able to teach a class at a school on something like the Romantic Period? Or does that require a special degree? Oh and how would I be able to achieve theses jobs?

I'd like to pick out a book to read for fun before my English class goes insane with reading assignments. What're some good books you all have read?

I prefer fiction to the other categories (fantasy, nonfiction, romance, etc.). I also can read young adult novels, but I don't like unrealistic or girly ones (though I'm 16 and a girl). I'd rather read about a guy stabbing someone than a girl going to prom. I'm not going to simply ignore you if you suggest any books that aren't strictly fiction. I have found some exceptions to my usual love of realistic stories. For instance, I like the Harry Potter books.

Also, don't hold back just because you think a book is too difficult for me. I always welcome a challenge.

Here are some books I've enjoyed in the past:

To Kill a Mockingbird
The Great Gatsby
The Killer Angels
The Bell Jar
Catcher in the Rye
The Outsiders
That Was Then, This is Now
Numerous Stephen King books
As I Lay Dying
Harry Potter

Thanks, and happy reading!

does anybody know a well-known play in which there is a main character that is about 15ish years old that has to do with childrens theatre - including some 2-beat oklahoma-ish style songs?preferably a musical - i need this info for an audition i am doing.

you can just put like a list of the plays that you know down- a small summary would be nice, tho.

here are two examples:
"annie get your gun"
"you're a good man, charlie brown"

but i need other plays - as many as you know.
thank you soo much!!!

I saw Rent on Broadway for the 3rd time today, but it was my first time seeing it with Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal. And omg, I can't say enough how amazing they were! I really want to go back to see them again before they're gone, and I was thinking of going to the stage door to try to meet them. Does anyone know exactly where the stage door is? Also, where would be the best place to exit the theatre so that I can get to the stage door quicker? And has it been really crazy there since Anthony and Adam have come back? I heard it is, which is why I didn't go there today. But I would def like to try to if it's feasible.

Also, I know they raffle off seats in the front 2 rows a few hours before each show. Anyone ever participate in this? Were there a lot of people hoping to get seats? Or was there not many? Any advice which shows would be best to try to do this for? What would be the best way to get seats within the 1st 3 rows?

Thanks!

NO DAY BUT TODAY! :)

By 'it', of course I mean 'everything you see, everything you experience, everything that is'

Do you stop and look around and 'wonder' what it's all about?

Do a million questions fill your head?

Does it vex you?

How does it make you feel, knowing that you may never know the 'reason' for it all?
