This question defines the domain of epistemology. Knowledge is the existence in a cybernetic system of a model, which allows that system to make predictions, that is, to anticipate processes in its environment. Thus, the system gets control over its environment. Such a model is a personal construction, not an objective reflection of outside reality. what do you think?

We have too many cultural and social biases and assumptions to effectively deal with the topic. I regularly meet people who can rival the knowledge of PhDs, but in the real world. They lack "knowledge" in a formal sense, however, they have little interest in fame and success, so the common social standard that measures things like knowledge and intelligence is lost.

Many highly educated people lack the basic knowledge of their cognitive and emotional life. So we additionally have a bias as to what knowledge is valuable in our culture.

For these reasons, I won't answer your question more directly.

experiance passed on to others. collection of ideas and the experiance of people. I think it is also not always based on experiance asit is notalways about examining information to make sure it is factual before accepting it. Sometimes it is passed of as knowledge when it is not and any attempt to examine it even when there is reasonable doubt is rejected then it can not be claimed knowledge is sought.

Knowledge is the ability to realize that we don't know squat - we're just good at labeling things and trying to sound like we got it all together. Fools must pretend to be wise with the faith that they use as a heavy disguise.

Simple. knowledge is a useless entity on its own. its true power is only unleashed, once it is made to use.

to this, is say,

knowlege is not power, Applied Knowledge Is Power =)
