By 'it', of course I mean 'everything you see, everything you experience, everything that is'

Do you stop and look around and 'wonder' what it's all about?

Do a million questions fill your head?

Does it vex you?

How does it make you feel, knowing that you may never know the 'reason' for it all?

It is depressing, so I just try to take it one day at a time.
Best wishes to all,

Yes to the first four questions. I researched my many questions over a twenty year period. Some of my answers; we are 'here' to learn something. Religion probably started as a short story to help children learn the constellations. Politicians twist and distort everything. People who receive nothing but ridicule from the media have got something right. Society determines history. The media never tells the truth about anything. The entire planet would be infinitely better off if we no longer lived in a society totally dependant upon exchange. If it isn't changed, capitalism will end all life on this planet. There is an afterlife, in fact this might actually be it! We all have many lives. There is also a hell that not so nice people go to. The body and spirit are separate entities. The captains of industry are the least spiritually evolved people. Evolved people see no point in financial wealth. Global warming could very well be a myth. It is highly likely that we are being misled about many many many things.

You need a good hug. Or, try reading 'What do I do when I want to do everything,' by Barbara Sher - which can help you overcome and accomplish what you'd like to gain; having too much inspiration, and is most likely to affect creative people. Creative people are also most likely to be consumed by this thought and have psychological 'problems' I use this loosely, as I don't see it as a 'problem' but more a state of the ever inquisitive mind.

Overwhelmed, yes always and almost always in a good way.

We may stop often to calculate the bad things in life and of course they can stack up and be too much to deal with.

We rarely take a moment to calculate the beauty and the good things, and those are the things that generally overwhelm me.

There is a natural expansion and contraction energy field that exists. You yourself will some days feel alive and with it yet other days feel insignificant. This is a natural state of being. Feeling overwhelmed means that you do not accept yourself in the contracted state. A contracted state is a time for reflection and reorientation . The relationship of consciousness to unconsciusness is an example of what I am referring to. Try to identify with yourself when in the contracted state and it will help you to not feel so overwhelmed. Hang in there.

one thing that really frightens me is thinking about everything that exists. not just in the world, or the universe, but EVERYTHING that there is anywhere, ever.that's very frightening because i'm an atheist, so i can't use god as an excuse, or a reason for the existance of 'it'. which means that there's about a zillion things going through my head when i think about "it". and it seriously frightens me that the closest thing we have to a reason for 'it' all being there is 'god'- a childish invention of something safe and comforting that loves us. but when i think about 'everything' i havn't got a big cuddly 'god' to reassure me, i just have theories on how and why it's there. which is scary and yes, overwhelming.

I just take it all bit by bit, take nothing for granted and enjoy all the good things in life x everyone should be this way, maybe then there would be none of the terrible actions you here of on the news every day

Do what you can - stop worrying about things over which you have no control - it is useless getting upset because you can't save the world - while watching your neighbour struggling with her shopping.....

Don't take life too seriously - you'll never get out of it alive!

Yes i feel overwhelmed.

vexed? nah... it makes me even more excited/happy that even though i may never know it all, even thought it may not at all be great, it will be included in my memory as a miracle.

you may say i'm absent-minded, but i do believe in miracles. because LIFE itself is a miracle that humans can never fully comprehend.

Hope this helps, Peace.

If thinking about this vexes you, why continue to think about it?

This is the problem of thinking. Some understand -- some don't.

thats how religions came around. people tried to explain things to make them make sense. apparently it worked for them, because here we are thousands of years later.

If you're an atheist, just tell yourself that you can benefit humanity if you learn and make discoveries. here i am at 14 working to finish up this calculus so I can go to college. it's because I know I can help humanity if I try. just keep going.
