As I was gazing out one morning
From the skies, there came a warning
Of impending things to come
For us all, and not for some

Soon the mighty winds will gale
Sending down a heavy hail
We’ll see visions from our past
For some moments, they will last

And some will surely cry
Thinking they are doomed to die
But from the sky, an angels face
Searching those who fell from grace

Then she covered me with her wing
Protecting me from everything
She said that he has chosen you
And some others, but just a few

You will go out and spread the word
Making sure that it is heard
I said I’ll heed the call
And will spread to one and all

He has said the world can live
For our sins, he will forgive

I find it very beautiful as I do the other poems I have posted which are not mine but were written long ago by famous poets. I was interested to know in this climate of paedophile hysteria whether such great beautiful poetry as this would be criticised as not acceptable and perverted. I found it under a website labelled Famous British paedophiles even though these people (ernest dowson and John Cowper Powys) were never charged with harming a child in their lives and these poems were given as the only evidence.

What do you think of them?

Nautical Baby shower poem (for a girl)?
I made a cake for a baby shower for today and their theme is nautical (for a girl baby!!!???). Can some one help me come up with a short but sweet poem to set next to the cake? I came up with something like "Sailing into this world and sailing into our hearts..." it seams incomplete to me...any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
