All of us seem to know that we all make mistakes but there are so many of us that can't admit it and can't readjust. We are too scared or lazy to question things and so many of us just keep on going forward blindly on the straight and narrow.
I can't just follow along in a straight line like an assembly line robot. There are always more choices available than people think.
Backwards, forwards, sideways, up and down I look for the right path. When I find it, I'll let you know.

Ducky is back! I like Ducky better than Tomato, but she's cute too....
Seems some people related stepping back to a MISTAKE that had been made. I saw it as you wrote it. Stepping back to reevaluate & reconsider. That isn't difficult for me at all; I may have thought I looked in all directions, but when a little bell rings--when I see a new perspective--I'll certainly step back! It's great damage control. Something like when your hand is just about to move a piece on the chessboard, & you've considered at least 7 or 8 possible consequences, & then you realize there was a much better choice.

Hi Moon,
Yes, if a sensible argument is put forward that makes me realise I've made a mistake or wrong move, I will reevaluate, reconsider and take it from there.
Where it's really really hard to take a step back is when it comes to emotional issues. I am so sensitive and I so want everyone to be happy and live harmoniously. I do everything I can to promote this but sometimes I wish I could just run away and hide away from it all! But could I walk away ... no, never!

Well, it's tough to admit you made a mistake but sometimes we don't make the best choices. Most things are not undo-able. Sometimes you have to reassess and go a different direction. I have had to do this a couple of times. It's hard but yes I can do it.
Hindsight is 20-20...Sometimes you don't know until you try. Nothing is the end of the world (ok well the Apocalypse would be but that probably won't happen in our lifetime unless the Mayans were right about 2011...)

There's no problem in reconsidering and to reevaluate the situations in order to prevent unnecessary problems in the near future. There are still minority who will insist on going forward and that will add to more problems.
To some, to take a step back is about prevention. For others, it's a gamble they are willing to take, on impulse and head for destruction as pride's at stack.
To sum it all, we must be flexible in whatever things we do to avoid more damages to ourselves and in whatever things we do, we must be responsible for the actions taken as there're no turning back.
Cheers :)

Depends on the situation... Sometimes it takes a little while longer for me to realize that I need to re-evaluate a situation. I can be a little dense at times, or it might just be that I really don't want to face the truth! I am inlcined to say it is more the latter... The truth can be very painful at times!
