Raise your voice a bit, I like the pigtails idea (that's what I was going to say), but if she's a tomboy what about a baseball hat and a ponytail? I like the freckles too but they'll only be visible if you really over do them. Big bright pink bows would be good if you do two pigtails and your character is girly. Your expressions will also have to be over done. Any other details you can tell us about your character? My instinct would be to be a bit sassy, but still vulnerable and a bit unsure. At 10 you start to think you know a bit more than you do and that you can handle more grown up things and you try to sound confident about that but maybe you're really not so sure. Maybe look up one of those lists like "You were a child of the 90's if..." just for pop culture reference :-)

Break a leg!

It really depends on the play and how the character is written. After all you are interpreting the writers ideas and putting over the story. Find girly magazines from the period for dress style and attitudes at the time. Depends on whether the character is a tom-boy, cutie-pie or whatever. You can't generalise. USE THE SPELL-CHECKER IF YOU'RE WORRIED.

I would wear a bright, multicolored dress (a bright pattern)... pigtails are a cute idea, but in the 90's, girls typically wore their hair large and curly [think of the tv show Full House]. Acting-wise: I would certainly act less mature, not bratty persay, but definitley innocent and outspoken. Best of luck to you! :-)

It kinda depends on the character. When I was ten I was a tomboy. Others were girly-girls. So it's hard to tell. I think you should aim for the look of characters in "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

I would wear a pink flowery dress.
Put your hair in two pigtails.
I guess you'll be wearing stage make up, but make your cheeks really red.
Hope the play goes ok hunni!

I think you should act a little bratty, and I think you should wear a cute little hat that mother put on there kids at that age, and I think you should wear two pony tails you would look so cute.

I would wear a smocked dress and have ribbons in your hair to match.
Like other people , I would recommend two plaits.
On your feet , wear little white socks and black shoes.
