Are there any Broadway shows in New York City that allow groups to "meet the pit" after the show? I'd like to take my school orchestra to see a bit more into the lives of independent musicians.

I would absolutely try to make arrangements with the theatre. Call a few theatres currently housing the shows you would like to see and see who will work with you on this. Perhaps you can make special arrangements to get their cheap front row tickets for your group so that they can be closer to the orchestra!

Good luck!

if you find a show you want and then contact the theatre it's in you might get you might be able to do something like that. the stage manager would be the person to ask...but i'm not sure how you would contact them
