Sandshifter

Two lovers entangled, their bodies as one
Left in the embrace far detached from the sun
The poison ingested to kill and set free
Horrors and wonders, they have forever to see

The time that most people waste on this earth
A hard time believing, there lives have much worth
Who am I to judge , a mere mortal you might ask
My time spent with demons, I'm up to the task

Brimstone and fire and pain till time ends
I'm more than ecstatic, to hell, your souls i will send
The dead cannot dance or sing or converse
I'm sorry I have to tell you, your soul I did curse

As you scratch and you bang, on your home in a box
Try to remember, you're wasting your time, looking for clocks
The hounds who guard hell and keep you in line
misery and complete agony, your new friends for all time

Throughout history, our government has told lies, both big and small, sometimes for the sake of war. But maybe this idea is just TOO big for people to big for most people to believe...
*Or maybe they just haven't really pondered it???*

Or is it something that has to be practiced since childhood in order to work? If it's possible to learn it in 20s, which exercises/stretches, techniques, etc would help in accomplishing this, and how often do they need to be performed?

"The Path of Life"

There are many paths in life to take
That lead you to places unknown
It is up to you to determine your fate,
Without someone else deciding your own.

Do not let persuasions of others overcome you,
Fight them off one by one;
Clear your thoughts and your mind,
Remember, you are the only one who can decide.

There may be times where you feel alone,
Like no one is on your side;
Echoes of other’s opinions scramble in your head,
But your true distinction will soon be shown.

When it comes to deciding on which path you take,
Your mind is already made up;
Even if your path is different from the rest,
You will have confidence in your decision,
Knowing it was your own and the best.

I remember reading somewhere that Eisenhower and the other generals who planned the invasion at Normandy thought the Allied deaths during the battle might be as high as 70%, and planned for that in their plans for the invasion. I cannot find where I read it, and I cannot find anything that states what their estimates were.

Do any of you history junkies remember reading similarly high numbers? If I am completely off, could you tell me what estimates you have read?

Any solid information (meaning not guesses) will be very much appreciated.

Thank you.
