I recently bought a circular polarizing filter for my lens because I knew I needed it, but at the same time people told me I needed it after looking at my pictures. The front of the filter spins but how do I use it? Is there a technique? I am my own teacher when it comes to photography so I have no clue. Some sections of the filter, as you know, look bluish in the camera. can someone give me the A to Z of how to use this PLEASE?

Oh, silences! My heart's an empty room,
Oh you, that mock the clamour of the world
With pallid eyes, wan sentinels that loom
Large with night; your eyes with stars are pearled.

My mind in torment haunts my heavy heart:
It flounders in the deeps of baseless fears,
Yet clings to woe, afraid it might depart,
And wanders aimlessly through thoughtless spheres.

This empty room, with longing, yearns for thee:
Grace it with thy gentle words anon;
Lest thou art mine, my heart shall not be free,
Myself not least at rest till thou art won.

Like night must flow to day, and stream to sea,
Twin souls shall merge, and I will come to thee.
