Queen is correct. Everyone has a 'place' in history. Through their children as Queen says, but also - always - in their own right. Every time you vote, or help someone, or raise your voice (in support or against something), or don't raise your voice - you are changing history and future historians will write about you.
The thing to note, though, is that to be 'remembered well' by a few is at least as important as to be well remembered by many. Never underestimate your 'influence' in the world, sometimes even a word or a gesture towards a stranger (and particularly a child) can change their life.

I do have a place in history: I gave birth to two sons and will always be remembered as their mother...and that is the best thing in the world.
But if you are asking what time period would I have liked to been in, it would definitely be the medieval times.

I kinda agree with Mumay S. I would defiantly want to be a great villain in history's eyes. Don't get my wrong, doing good, on the historic scale, benefits all of mankind, but its the people who do bad that are never forgotten.

I feel like it is important to have a place in history because you had a place in peoples hearts and you actually contributed in large proportions to your country/world, and you actually effected people in a postive way more than yourself. I wouldn't mind being Harriet Tubman, Amelia Earhart, Eleanor Roosevelt, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, etc. All very famous, important, American woman.

everyone who lives has a place in history. each life is important for some reason or other although most people will not have a significant role. however, without the average person doing their everyday life civilization would not be what it is today.
