I love it now, and I know I want to go to college for it. But is it such a good job? And I don't know, I'm just curious. I'm only in high school still.

Internal Conflict


My heart & mind debate,
What can I do to gain enough courage?
Do I need to see you leave,
To know that it’s too late?
Do I need to cry to know the reason why
I let this moment pass me by?
I don’t want to go through the process of my heart beginning to heal
I know it’s going to happen….
So when should I reveal
This feeling I have for you, this feeling so strong.
If it’s really you I want
Then noting could be wrong.
Oh! What great agony to keep all of this ¬ tell a single soul.
This feeling of despair so great
A feeling of being alone.
Yes, you are the thought that keeps me up at night.
Twisting & turning, wondering if all of this is right.
When will I gain enough courage?
My heart & mind debate.
That when you leave, no one will be able to console me.
For then, it’ll be too late.

I've read the novel and I know that the turtle in the 3rd chapter is symbolic of the challenges that the Joads were about to go through in the novel.

Any other thoughts or more detailed contributions to what the significance of the turtle in the chapter will be greatly appreciated though. :)

My Life

As I look at my life and what it has come to be.
The mess that I have in front of me.
The hopes I had, my dreams are burning out.
My conscious reaction is to scream and shout.
But I hold on- I have come too far,
I have to deal with realities that are,
Not the best,
But none the less,
They are mine,
And it is my option to make my life just fine,
Oh yes, you see, the choice is in me.
To do with my life as I damn well please.
So make no mistake take another look,
My life that I put in front of you as an open book,
Has been my adventure.
My journey through life’s tenure.
I will renew myself,
My physical, emotional, and mental health.
So now I see my life as something else.
Not a mess, but a wealth,
Of people places times and things,
That make us all such unique human beings.

How many pages, in total, does a written play for drama need to be? It is an action comedy, and I hope for it to be played by a local theater house. Any estimates? I'm thinking around 70 pages or so, but if anyone knows for sure that would be a great help.

I am brand-new to oil painting and would greatly appreciate help! The canvas is cotton and came with my kit; I'm assuming it's prestretched. Do I still need to size with rabbit-skin glue or acrylic gesso before priming and painting with oils? I should probably mention the oils are a new kind of paint that is actually water soluble! Also, if anyone knows of an animal-friendly alternative to rabbit-skin glue, that would be amazing. : )

ok so summer break just started and marching band season starts the last week of july
im a pretty tiny person (please dont laugh) but yes im a drummer and i will be on the bass line this year (1st bass, the smallest) its not that its heavy atleast not at first but after carrying it for 8 hours in the hot sun well that would make anyone want to pass out and yes i am a rookie and i need to build up the strength in my back and the endurance in my legs
any ideas or tips?

The idea is that you can never reach a destination because you would have to complete an infinate number of steps to do so. If you are not familiar with it, then please don't post an opinion. But I thought it was a very powerful evaluation on the idea of motion - that it does not exist.
