How did the Industrial Revolution lead to World War I & II? How were the wars affected by the Industrial Revolution? Did Japan's lack of resources lead to Japan to enter the World War II? Then does it mean that the Industrial Revolution lead to World War II?

I know it is about a certain "theme" celebrating a time in Russia, but I can't figure out if it's about the victory over something, or independence. All I know is that the time in Russia was good.

I have this feeling that our souls have a dimensional 'umbilical cord' to the Source of everything. That when we pray or wish or ask we are using a spiritual channel that exists independent of space time.
I've visualized it as a black hole tunnel/worm hole that is direct from our consciousness to the Universal.

Has anyone heard of teachings or references to theories like this?

For the first time in my life, I saw Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" last night and it was awesome. I do have some questions regarding the opera itself as well as opera singers.

1. Why is the part of Cherubino played by a young female? My guess is that the character itself is a young, teenage guy and the voice of a young woman would suit the character's changing voice tone.

2. Do opera singers work with one opera for the entire season or do they work on multiple operas for the season?

3. How do opera singers get work? Are there auditions? Does being an opera singer guarantee any benefits (i.e. medical, dental, etc)?

Thanks for the help.

I'm trying so hard to do well in school and getting into a good college (and killing my health in the process) and I end up asking myself, "Is it worth it?" Will it all matter in the end? Should I just choose a life of medocrity and be happy?

This question is for a friend who doesn't have computer access.

Our university offers a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a major in Theatre, and I was curious.. can this degree help me become an actor?

I know I would have to work hard and audition frequently, but how helpful is this degree?

I know many big and small actors have this degree (thanks wikipedia!) because it teaches you: 1) technical theatre and design; 2) acting; 3) playwriting; 4) directing; 5) history and criticism.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

My dad died May 7 2007 in the morning, I really wish that I could go back to one minute before the event happened and try to prevent it, or just go to the day before and just spend the last day of his life letting him know how much I really love him.
That will never happen of course, but just for a make believe time traveling moment.
