My dad died May 7 2007 in the morning, I really wish that I could go back to one minute before the event happened and try to prevent it, or just go to the day before and just spend the last day of his life letting him know how much I really love him.
That will never happen of course, but just for a make believe time traveling moment.

what i would like to do is go back to the time of the roman republic and ask people in the street what they thought of the idea of creating a european union with the roman republic as a member also if they would be interested in talking to their representives about sending someone to the european continent to ask the inhabitants what they thought of this idea and if they liked it then the someone could suggest it be put to a vote to decide if anyone was usure if this what they wanted which lands would be part of it then a series of laws would be drawn up to protect the resources of europe the laws would be this all nations must conserve their resources and not seek those of others everyone shall be equal the continent itself will have the right not to be despoiled beyond all repair to ensure enough is left for future generations another place i would like to travel back in time to is the prehistoric age i would like to find out if anything of the sort existed a continental union and if this would be a good idea back then my process would be similiar another good starting point would be ancient summer same idea implement it before wars occur and so prevent the misery which has so afflicted the world

I would go back and hopefully stop firearms from ever being created.
I think it takes away from the whole "Having balls to kill a person" scenario. I believe it should only be possible with close-range weapons or swords and such. You should have to actually see the look in their eye and witness, nay feel what you have done. When you can shoot someone from a hundred yards or by firing a hundred bullets in a minute, there is nothing of admittance, owning up, or even acknowledgment involved, and it disgusts me.

Well my dad died not too long ago September of 2006. I also wish that I could go back and do more things with my dad and show him how much I love him. I just wish I had done more to help him and make him better. I really miss him and I would really like him to know that i love him so much.

Sorry about your loss. I know how you feel. I hope you are doing better. your in my prayers.

i'm sorry to hear about your dad, really, that is awful. <>

as for me, i would LOVE to go back and talk to a scientist a few hundred years ago, provided that they can understand english (because they either speak it or we have a translator), i would tell them all about the future of science and ideas in general, about the progression of philosophical thought, and about the progression of political thought and experience

i always think about this,
i'd love to have some way to bring them a tv and a dvd player and show them what we can do

i was actually just thinking about this 20 minutes ago, but in a different way: if i could have a scientist from the past just appear in my apartment, how would i explain all of the "things" in my place? it would be an interesting conversation, no doubt!

why do you think we can't travel throught "time"

after all, what is time? is it not something we made up? it's a myth. we can prove myths wrong and go against them, no?
