I have this feeling that our souls have a dimensional 'umbilical cord' to the Source of everything. That when we pray or wish or ask we are using a spiritual channel that exists independent of space time.
I've visualized it as a black hole tunnel/worm hole that is direct from our consciousness to the Universal.

Has anyone heard of teachings or references to theories like this?

Day dreamed this about 12 years ago....it's always stuck with me......

hey Timaeus,

My experience with this realization is one of practical faith. ever since I became aware of this as a potential reality I have been able to instantaneously connect my faith to prayer. For me the possibility of such a dimensional bridge is so exciting that I have used it as a personal faith enhancer in times of need. Believing in this channel has seemingly produced supernatural answers to many of my prayers and yes they have all been directed to the one GOD above all. It makes the gap between God and people inconsequential and available to all at 'anytime'

It is an interesting concept, and seems to provide a way by which you have recognized the relationship of a spiritual dimension of human experience to material reality. However, I wish you had clarified what you mean by the "Universal" or "Source of Everything" -- is this your way of speaking about what some call God? And if so, if this "Universal" exists, by what criteria have you determined that this "Universal" is interested in us or cares about our needs? Is there a reason or revelation that would support the "Universal's" existence and indicate its intentions? Or is your theory simply an intuition concerning the nature of reality?

Its sometimes called the Divine Matrix or the Web of Life, others call it the Universal mind. It really doesn't matter what you call it as long as you realize it's there and the potential you have to think, believe, and receive from this unlimited source.

the type you communicate approximately your buddy makes it sound such as you're no longer her buddy in any respect. you would be able to desire to give up judging and commence fairly chatting together with her. in the experience that your buddy has won 100lb in 2 years, she is putting her well being in severe danger. i does no longer be passive-aggressive and get her a well being club club, i could take a seat together with her and have an exceedingly severe communicate regarding the type you concern for her well being. tell her which you fairly opt to help, and which you 2 can flow to the well being club mutually on a usual time table. extra importantly, she needs to be sure a doctor. My suggestion: give up speaking approximately your buddy on the information superhighway, and commence chatting together with her in an exceedingly severe (yet mushy) way.

Not quite the detail you have, but close.

Eastern Philosophies (Buddhism, Hinduism, Taosim, Shinto) have similar aspects.

You might want to watch "The Secret" because what you are saying sounds similar.
