technically a state of war still exisits between N & S Korea; there is just an cease fire in place which has lasted since 1954....

in comparison to the Cold War? S. Korea has become a stable democracy with a huge middle class and something like #4 or 5 in the world in production of cars, computers and ships; do you drive a Hyundai or a Kia or have a Samsung stereo?

N Korea is a hereditary Communist theocracy where most common people are ill nourished and sickly because what little goods are produced are held by the ruling elite.....
