You have seen British writers questioning the benefits of nineteenth-century industrialization and modernization. Does this questioning change in a Russian setting? In what ways does Tolstoy share or extend the British writers' debate about progress?

Theoretically, a "half-truth" consists of one part lie and one part truth. Literally, is it not just a lie?

A little background:

So I am a guitar beginner - I can play the chords OK, can sing sometimes when I play simple songs, have decent rhythm, and I still hate bar chords but I'm getting them down OK. One problem though...

Practicing really feels like a chore sometimes (the hard part is just getting my guitar out, once I start it's not so bad) but I wish I could really see myself improving and playing well quicker. I feel like there has to be some advice out there that will "make the difference" in my progress. I bought a Fender instructional DVD for acoustic and it's helped; I've learned some cool things but I think after a while it will get old...

Any teachers/experts out there with some good advice for someone looking to improve in guitar and develop a passion for the instrument?

Ok, I just read that the USSR aloowed it's members to sucede from the group peacefully, but didn't Russia mobilize a lot of armor to keep some of the more adventurous states under the communist thumb? And if this is true, when did Russia move the tanks in? Was it immeadiately after WW II or later on?

Why are Harry Potter books attacked for their "non-christian" content? Like they are so influential. Yet non christian parents don't make a big deal about schools having a Narnia book on the curriculum? Which is written by a christian with purposefully christian influences.

since a very long time ago, when the mongols invaded, they managed to turn the mongols into the chinese, and then, with the involvement of the westerners, they started having countless wars with hundreds of thousands of casualties such as the civil wars, and they had these losses over and over. How did they manage not to fall apart?

I uploaded a photo on their site, then all the "you were chosen" emails/letters started and offers to purchase things from them at lower prices, I know, I should have looked them up first, they seemed so real. So, I wanted to post this to hopefully help others!
