There is cause and effect. The universe vibrates to its own energy. It is a living organism. The universe is infinite.

Essentially, yes, but I ask you to question whether "must" is the best operative word to use. The universe simply does have a cause and we, my dear, are among the effects. And, we are also part of that which shall, in turn, return to the cause. If you mean "a cause", as in "a reason", well , yes, there are indeed many "reasons" and many "causes". If you look at this question from different perspectives, it is possible to look at the universe without a cause, that it simply exists. There are many people that look at the universe scientifically, and many who do not. God bless the soul that is not limited to narrow views or beliefs.

The universe has no definition. It just is. It seems as if it has cause and effects, but it just is without any definition.

As soon as we try to define it, it will require two things at minimum, such as cause and effect, good and bad, this and that, etc. The simple answer is: it just is.

Uncaused being is has the property that it is pure act, but the material universe is in constant flux and in potency to change,
and is a mixture of act and potency. Therefore the universe is not uncaused and must be caused.

A cause or a reason? A beginning or cause? A cause and an effect?

A curious question!

No, somethings are unexplainable and better that way. There has to be some God, some place beyond our comprehension. If every thing is comprehended , that ' sing' will be lost in life.
