I know that this dance has a 1-2-3 count but I don't know what to do with my feet. Also, whenever I see the serious polka people, they have this carefree bounce. They all are bobbing up and down! How do I do that?

old enough to shave would have owned one. And yet in everything I have read about life in boarding schools and colleges back in the day I don't recall ever seeing anything about razors. It seems to me that straight razors in a dorm full of young men would be a bloodbath waiting to happen but I have never heard of a single razor related incident. Of course I am not widely read on the pre Gillette era and maybe someone else has heard of such an incident or can explain why it never happened.

It states that "all men are created equal."
To what extent did the Am. Revolution achieve equality for the people of the U.S.?
To what extent did Americans become more equal - or less equal - in the years that followed?
What were the limits to equality, and how did people seek to overcome those limits?

Assuming I took no actions more negative than that of any other religion.

Also, I feel compelled to state that I do not worship the Devil. This question is philosophical in nature.

please comment on this poem i wrote
A MORTAL'S CONTENTMENT

A mortal ,
shunned by all ,
was struck upon by the unworded wrath ,
of his worshipped Goddess.

Witnessing her serene grace,
turn into the fires of hell,
left him sorrowful to his very soul.

Blessed and chosen he felt later although ,
for Instead of being ignored as dust ,
was enshrined ,
not in her hallowed heart ,
but at least momentarily in her enraged thoughts .

I would like more people to see my artwork. I have a website and am currently in a gallery (in a somewhat big town, but nothing like a big time gallery.) but both places viewing and sales are based on how many people actually visit, either the site or the gallery. I seem to get lost in the muddle of everyone elses web pages, and only so many people visit the gallery a day/week/month.
How do I get a wider audience? How do you approach bigger galleries in bigger cities? How can I go national? (I think that's what I really would like to know.LOL!!) Just curious I don't want to make an idiot out of myself...I am sure they do things a lot different than they do here. Thanks! :)

My mom's friend has an old poster with Uncle Sam pointing and saying, "I want YOU for U.S. Army." Wherever you go in the living room, it looks like he is pointing at you and staring at you. When I was in intermediate school, there was also a portrait of a woman whose eyes always looked like they followed the person who looked at her. (It freaked a lot of the kids out.:)) How do the artists do that? What techniques do they use that make it look like the people in the portraits are staring at the person looking at them?

just putting some thoughts out there...

I'm 17 and going through that stage of life where i wonder what the hell everything is about and is it all worth it? at times i get frustrated and angry at society and the people in it...one current thing on my mind is an apparent obsession with 'being different'.

So whats it all about? if these people truly are 'deep', or 'different' or 'themselves' then why is there such a strong need for them to prove it? especially when the majority do so by adding it to 'myspace' (as an example) in an attempt to let the masses know how unique they truly are!

it seems another 'trend' that people are trying to follow in order to validate themselves... but how are they different when everyone else is doing the same thing?
