Got this essay to do on Proxy wars in Africa during the cold war. Angola and Mozambique are well known, are there any other?

ok, none of you have answered the question properly. I asked for examples, with clear evidence, besides Angola or Mozambique. The essay question is, if it helps: The cold war period saw a bipolar rivalry between two main superpowers, constantly using proxies, particularly in Africa, to fight each other. Discuss the above statement, using two case studies to illustrate your argument.

Your first question you can buy a map of africa and color the countries where the wars have taken place, then with other papers you make little squares with the colors and you put your main ideas in form of a text box or diagram or whatever you want ( I do not recommend you to do a summary ). You can search for Sierra Leona, Liberia, Somalia, Uganda and Congo, all those countries are well known for recruiting children and they have had several problems with the goverments and many innocent people has die.

I would recommend Congo in the 60's... che guevarra even attempted to raise the communist forces there himself. Another good one would be Angola, which was another clear cold war battlefield.

I find using mindmaps very useful for brainstorming and writing.

If we knew your thesis this might be easier.
