There were no people at the beginning of time. Either in the Bible or in evolution theory.

depends what you believe in. if you follow the Bible, then people were created by God and put on this Earth. if you do not believe in this, the other option is believing in evolution. this means the world started with microscopic organisms and dinosaurs, etc...and then monkeys slowly evolved into humans. why are there still monkeys? i dont know, i hate science...... =)

oh and by the way... "for a beverage to crush leaves and put them in a thin piece of tissue. it's just wrong!"....what are you talking about?? lol and forming a language.. i guess if its evolution you believe in ...caveman started with grunts and whatever and then as we started spreading all over the world and adapting to the climates (skin color, facial features, etc) we made our own languages...

Humans were not present at the beginning of time. Science has found people existed about 200,000 years ago. This is pretty recent compared to the age of the universe, assuming that is what you mean by the beginning of time.

What a cool question!!!

Read "A Short History of Nearly Everything" I Think it was Bill Bryson that wrote it. It will give you lots of non- biblical answers!!

"God said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them."

God was lonely, so he made me.

Then I suggested to him that he puts the sugar and spice to work by creating women.

And he and I both saw that it was good.
