you drive up the driveway, which is lined with fake black birds on posts, and then the huge eye is standing at the top of the cliff and theres fake black birds all over it.

Its about Frank Billings Kellogg ( he was a nobel peace prize winner). yes he was the cereal tycoon that came up with Kellogg cereal but he also was working for outlawing war... I need tips on texturing leaves on trees for an oil piantin, preferably not Pine Needles, looking more at oak. Anyone else that uses oil on canvas offer some good advice. Distance of trees varries, but the ones i am looking to texture are about 15 yards away.

We watched the movie JFK in class and my history teacher said that Oliver Stone is wrong when he says that JFK was going to pull out of Vietnam. The movie makes it look like Kennedy was assasinated because he wanted to pull us out of Vietnam and some people don't want him to do that. Is she right (me teafcher) or is the movie JFK right? What distinguishes an artist from a technician? Which is a photographer?

Does the artist create beauty where none existed before, while a photographer just identifies and illuminates beauty that was already there?

When I say "artist" I mean somebody truly creative, not just a painter who records what he sees, or *shudder* mass-produces illustrations of cottages surrounded by flowers, and in the case of Kinkade, agrees to paint a picture for you with colors chosen to harmonize with your room's furniture.

Poets and musicians produce beauty and are also artists in the sense that I mean to convey, the ability to create beauty.
