Oh my! Everybody is really picking on you. If your daughter has shown an interest in modeling - no matter what age she is - let her do it. And of course - if she hasn't - don't push her.

Somebody said something like "nobody likes a stage Mom." Not true. If your kid is under 18 they NEED a stage Mom - and if you are a nice, reasonable person - casting agencies will love working with you.

Where do you look? Well - John Robert Powers is a bit of a scam. I wouldn't work with them. Any agency that wants money upfront is a scam. They may just ask for money for their classes - but even at that - those classes are WAY overpriced.

I don't know what city you are in - but if there are major department stores there - they DO have fashion shows - and inquiring within them would be a good place to start. Those type of jobs will probably pay minimal to nothing - but it's a footin the door and you'll meet other people on the same track and you can network with them.

Your daughter should really be getting her own auditions. Nobody likes a stage mom. just some advice. But you can find auditions in the newspaper and online.

do on no account enable them to end you. keep on attempting even while they say its not useful. Its your decision. For modelling attempt and get some acquaintances to take photos of you. If any of them have an pastime in photographs set up a photograph shoot with them (possibly set it up around their domicile in the journey that your mum and dad do not desire you to). you may strengthen a small, yet not proffessional yet, portfolio. As for performing get entangled in something in college or in the section. in basic terms say its for relaxing, its not extreme on the 2d. Behave like its a pastime. keep attempting and then while your old sufficient you may progression to going to greater auditions. possibly in the event that they see your potential they might see you ought to do it.

First, does she want to do that?

If yes, look in the yellow pages for theatrical agencies.

Do not allow yourself to become involved with any agency that requests payment.

You will have to have professional photographs taken of your daughter to begin a portfolio.

Let your daughter decide to do this when she is old enough to make her own decisions, and stop trying to push her into something like this. You sound like a model wannabe who never was, thus you are trying to get your daughter to fulfil your dreams. Bad idea.

How old is she? and you want to be carefull with modeling... a lot of models end up with eating disorders, getting into lots of trouble, and are snobbish little jerks.

Why subject your daughter to a life where she is judged by her looks alone?

Unless she's over 18 - I would NOT do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There's too much B.S. that goes on, behind the scenes, I wouldn't put my dog through it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let this be her dream - NOT yours!!!!!!!!!!!
