One who has a unique writing style, stories on the shorter side, and simple language. I was thinking someone along the lines of Kafka.

I'm thirteen, and I've been finding a lot of poems written by thirteen years olds on this site that I quite honestly don't find very good at all. But, I just wanted to know what people thought of my poetry. It's not about love, sadness, teen life, how much I hate people, but it's one of my poems. It's one of the poems I think it kind of average compared to the rest of my stuff.

"Waking"

Waking up hurts
Upon the embossed knives we left ourselves on
To find yesterday was not a dream
To find the pitchforks of resent aimed in your direction

The world we fear
Our dreams a haven: a fort
Life, a war we must win

Waking pains you
Gasping and breathless at the world we have created
You close your eyes and wish upon-
The indulgence of sleep

Waking minds reveal to you
The reality you could not bear face
The courage you have-
To fight the battle everyday

Waking up hurts
Your bleeding soul bitter and worn
And the spears of life once again thrown at you

Hamlet's "To be, or not to be" soliloquy is probably the most famous in all literature. What does it indicate about Hamlet's state of mind?

How can you explain to someone who never heard of Amelia Earhart about her without confusing them with too much info? Such as "What happened to her? What is she known for? What is the mystery with her?"

And your favorite work by them?

Why? Has this philosopher made an impact on the way you see the world or are they your favorite merely because you find them interesting?

Thanks :)

by sitting on a sofa or sleeping
you'll never become a gorilla or an ape being
get up now,go outdoors and buy a coconut
squeeze it in your hands with all your might

if you're fond of the behavior of lions
stand up right now and go after gazelles
get one of them very swiftly with your paws
bite its throat and then tear its flesh with your jaws

I see that a lot of people have read it and I’m glad because I have all three books and they're great, I just purchase the movie and it was amazing. And for all the narrow minded people that had something negative to say maybe if you clear your mind for once in your life you would understand. But then again some people see black while other see the rainbow I guess they didn't get the message Neale Donald Walsch was giving. To me I can sum up the book in 3 words Compelling, Enlightening and Dynamic. I have my own views on this subject but it’s always interesting to hear the perspective of people who has read the book. I agree with what he mentioned like....when he said there really is no hell except that hell is the worst outcome of our choices, decisions, and creations.
Do you believe in hell? If so, what is your hell like?
This really stuck in my head because sometimes when I make a decision and see how it comes together I realize that I was the creator of that decision and therefore the creator of the outcome as well but, I never view it as something bad only something that had to happen so that I could get to where I need to be and I become more aware of how everything comes into play.
This book is so much of how I think it’s unbelievable. I read it before I go to bed. It’s hard to find people to communicate with, sometimes they don't understand me. Sometimes people think I’m too deep and can't handle the way I think. I feel sad sometimes that people really don't understand that it really IS about love and this is why we came into creation. Also tell me, what stuck out in your head about the book? According to www.mugglenet.com:

" Scholastic announced today that the US edition of Deathly Hallows will contain 784 pages, making it the second longest book in the series behind OOTP!

Since the US versions of the books are published in a larger font and contain chapter pictures, this should mean the UK version will be around 700 pages long."

How do you all feel about this information? Does it make you want the book even more, or does it stave off your curiosities?

What is your opinons?

I was showing my violin-and-piano arrangement of Faure's Pavane to one of my friends, and she exclaimed, 'Oh, this is a classical piece? I thought it was a pop song!' These artistes are guilty of causing impressionable young people to know classical pieces under a false name.
