come up with one thing that you could do that would make everyone in your house happy (like make a double layer chocolate cake) then come up with one thing that would make YOU happy, like calling up your best Friend and yakking for a long time. Take a few minutes and go talk to your Mom, about something SHE is interested in, then do the same with your dad, and each of your siblings

Have you read, "the pig that wants to be eaten 100 experiments for the armchair philosopher" by Julian Baggini? It makes for a great time killer if you take the time to analyze your own thoughts on the subjects.
