it's like a waltz, but maybe with a few slowed down quick steps....and you should add some tango twirls. Your guests will love it and you'll feel like stars. Have fun on your big day and good luck

Oo-er, don't think you can waltz to that, the timing isn't right.
We have used the Robbie Williams/Nicola Kidman version for a slow salsa style cha-cha. The beat is one-two cha-cha-cha, count it in time to the music and you'll see what I mean.
The basic step would be: on beat one the man steps forward with his left foot, lifting his right heel off the ground at the same time. The lady steps back with her right foot and lifts her left heel at the same time. You with me so far?!
On two the man puts his right heel back down, leaving his left foot forward, and at the same time the woman puts her left heel down whilst leaving her right foot back.
Now comes the cha-cha-cha. On beat 3 the man brings his left foot back to his right and transfers his weight onto the left foot, lifting the right foot off the ground ever so slightly. The woman brings her right foot back to the middle, transfers her weight onto the right foot and lifts the left ever so slightly off the ground. On beat four the man tranfers his weight back to his right foot, and lifts his left foot off the ground ever so slightly, and on beat 5 the weight transfers again back onto the left foot with the right foot off the ground. At the same time the woman is doing the same step on the opposite foot. After the cha-cha-cha step the man and woman then swap steps with the man stepping back on his right and the woman forward on her left, etc etc.
I hope that hasn't confused you! It's a very simple step but its easier to show you rather than type it! I wouldn't recommend a waltz to the RW version of the song, unless you have it rearranged. If you really want to waltz consider using something like Dr Hook's Years From Now (appropriate for a wedding). Good luck!
