The book was either written by two men or the author talked about him and his colleague. It was a non-fiction, kind of science or philosophical book. The first couple chapters were in regards to the dead sea scrolls and how the two of them went around the world gathering information about the scrolls as a beginning to their research. I think it had a blue-ish paperback cover and about 500 pages.
It is driving me crazy that I cannot think of the title.

My great aunt worked as a teacher in the Waukon schools in then period 1895-1899 for two years. I don't know exactly which two years as she graduated from high school in 1895 and was teaching in another city by 1899. Her two years were mentioned in her obituary and her wedding announcement. Right after high school, she probably attended a short Normal School to learn teaching as it was done then.
The school district of Waukon has told me they have employment records from back then, but can spare no one to look through them. I learned of them right after passing through the town on a trip a couple of summers ago. I live in Texas.
Obviously, anyone willing to wade through the records could do a service for geneology by listing all the teachers and superintendents each year.
This seems a useful project for a beginner who wants to do real research, but where do I find one? Here?

I tend to believe the answer lies between. But I would lean toward personality.

You can have almost nothing, and still be "happy". But no matter what you have, you could always be wanting more. Some of the wealthy and beautiful are not happy. Yet some brought up in lacking environments are just as happy, or arguably happier.

Examples at the extremes, Halle Barry and Rosie O. suffered from depression.

Some have to work to be optomistic.

I read another question here which noted that Project Gutenberg had a copy of the book that one could read (for someone else's question), but that doesn't appear to be true. I've ordered the book from amazon.com, but I don't feel like waiting a week to read it. Its slightly old, and a real classic, so there has to be some sort of online resource that can slake my thirst.

I'm trying to make earrings out of certain foods that would perish in a matter of weeks. So I'm looking for any kind of spray, brush-on, etc., type of product that would make the perishable foods into things that would last much longer.

Thank you!

I'm trying to trace my family tree and know that my great grandmother was the last named lee on our side. So, most of her grand and great grand children were all given the middle name of Lee in rememberance of the historic family. No one seems to recall though whether she was a directly down from Gen. Lee or one of his siblings. Besides paying for a geneology tree, does anyone happen to know the names of General Lee's siblings and their children? There's got to be a die hard history buff out there somewhere!
