I'm writing a story. I have a little girl named Jodie and I need a good southern last name for her. Help me!

The person who suggested French names is right on if you want your story to take place in Louisiana or Mississippi. You might be stereotyping your character too much is her name is so easily understood as "Southern."

Jodie Devereaux or Jodie LeBlanc, however, are not bad names.

In Virginia and Tennessee, there were a lot of Tillmans or Tilghmans. That's where you'll also find the Lees.

look online on souther history sites and some books about the south. If it's modern day though it doesn't matter.
