I'm trying to trace my family tree and know that my great grandmother was the last named lee on our side. So, most of her grand and great grand children were all given the middle name of Lee in rememberance of the historic family. No one seems to recall though whether she was a directly down from Gen. Lee or one of his siblings. Besides paying for a geneology tree, does anyone happen to know the names of General Lee's siblings and their children? There's got to be a die hard history buff out there somewhere!

A couple of his children are George Washington Curtis Lee, and William H. Fitzhugh Lee. I'm sure with some more internet digging you'll be able to find out even more.

I'd suggest you do your homework and search your ancestry as far back as you can. Then, post the oldest few generations on the Lee Message Board on Rootsweb

Robert E. Lee had six siblings and he was the youngest boy. There were seven children in the family when his father passed away.
