I try and follow the "golden rule" which basically states that you should treat others the way YOU want to be treated. If a female calles me a pig, or a dog, or "one who needs training buy a woman" or an extra child. Or my favorite " You are JUST a man,"

To me this is insulting, untrue, rude, worthy of VENOMUS retort. But, comments like this are regarded as humor at worst and truth at best. But let's flip it around, point for point.

If I, a man, in public said to a woman, You sow, Bit@h, "One who needs to be trained by a real man, little girl, or "You are JUST a woman." Not 3 seconds would pass until a posse staked me to an anthill for DARING to speak to someone like that.

Equality by it's most basic defintion, means EVEN, no more on one side than exists on another.

Now, are things truly equal between the sexes, races, or whathaveyou? Disgracefully they are not. But I don't believe acting equally as disgraceful, makes anything better for anyone. What do you think

The first was about a girl whose father had died and was put in the care of her uncle. She gets visited by ghosts of her ancestors who were alive at the time of the American Revolution, and who tell her what their lives were like and try to help her adjust. The ghosts were an American officer, his sister, his love interest, and a British officer who ended up marrying the sister after the war.

The second book was set in 1700s Scotland, about a girl with the second sight. She ends up breifly living with a rich or noble family, and falls in love with one of the sons. That's all I remember about it.

Don't recommend to me your favorite books unless you also answer the question with a real answer. Chances are, I'm at least aware of them, and if not then I probably don't like the genre.

Just give me a couple of examples of such things. I just can't think of one right away. Can be anything--tech product, food, merchandise, whatever. And I don't mean abstract concepts like religion or sentiment or money. I mean something material.

Would you rather read about someone who is unmistakably good, or someone with skeletons in their closet? Would you rather read about a man or a woman, boy or girl? Or an animal, or something from fantasy? Do you like perfection or someone who's flawed? Explain, please!
